We want to do everything we can to help you enjoy your electric bike for many years to come. If your electric bike is stolen, we want to help. Though we like to sell bikes, we believe it's more important to help you get back on a bike than it is for us to make a profit replacing your stolen bike. For that reason, we offer a discount on a new bike so you can replace the one that was stolen.
Our bike theft eplacement discount enables you to purchase a replacement bike at a discount when your bike is stolen. Here are the details:
- If a bike you purchased from the Electric Bike Network is stolen, we'll extend a discount on a replacement bike that you purchase from us.
- The bike that was stolen must be a bike purchased new from The Electric Bike Network.
- The discounts we offer apply only to our new bikes.
- You must submit a copy of an official and complete police report of your bike theft. The report must include sufficient information so that we are able to contact the police if necessary.
- If the bike that was stolen was purchased from us at a discount or as a special, the discount we offer on a replacement bike will be reduced by the amount of the discount when the bike was purchased.
- The Electric Bike Network will offer you a discount to be applied to a comparable model to the one that was stolen. If you prefer a different bike, let us know and we will work something out with you.
- Discounts are $250 for Giant Lite, Panasonic folder, Tidal Force M-750 and iO, and eGO Deluxe, and $150 for eGO standard.
- The Electric Bike Network may change discounts from time to time as manufacturers change their prices.
- You are responsible for any shipping charges (e.g., if you need the bike shipped to you).
- We must have sufficient availability of the bikes to offer this discount. There are times of the year when supplies on certain bikes are very limited. If we do not have adequate supplies of the replacement bike, we will work with you to meet your needs by scheduling a new bike from you from upcoming shipments, arranging for a different bike for you, or another approach that is mutually acceptable.
This small print is intended to ensure we don't lose money through our good intentions. We want to help out. Hopefully your bike will never be stolen. If you exercise reasonable precautions and have a bit of luck, you never will. If, however, you do find yourself in the situation of replacing a stolen bicycle you purchased from us, we're here to help.
